What a home care membership is
A home care membership is a recurring service plan. You choose a level of care, the company puts visits on the calendar, and you pay annually, quarterly, or monthly instead of booking every job yourself. At Shine Otter, every Home Care Membership includes four scheduled services a year, with automatic quarterly scheduling.
When a membership makes sense
- You already want windows cleaned several times a year. In Florida that's common, because salt, pollen, and sprinkler spots build up fast.
- You know you'll forget to book. The whole point of a plan is that scheduling happens without you.
- You want more than windows. Higher tiers bundle soft washing, driveway and patio cleaning, and roof and gutter cleaning into one plan.
- You like predictable costs. One annual price, or equal payments, is easier to budget than a handful of separate invoices.
When it probably doesn't
- You only need a one-time cleaning, such as before a sale, a party, or after construction. A single visit is simpler.
- Your home needs very little. A small home with few windows, little pollen, and no sprinkler spray may not need four visits a year.
- You want to choose every date yourself. Plans run on a schedule, so ask how rescheduling works before you enroll.

A quick way to check the math
Divide the plan price by the number of visits. At the starting prices, Base works out to about $100 per quarterly exterior window cleaning ($399.99 divided by 4), and Plus to about $150 per quarterly inside-and-out visit ($599.99 divided by 4). Compare that with what other companies quote for the same scope at your address.
For the higher tiers, add up what you would pay to book the soft wash, driveway, patio, roof, and gutter jobs separately, then compare that total with the plan. Your own quote is what counts, because every home is different.
